Types of malaria tablets include:

  • Doxycycline: Take one tablet daily, starting two days before travel and continuing for four weeks after return.
  • Malarone: Take one tablet daily, starting two days before travel and continuing for seven days after return.
  • Chloroquine and Proguanil: For adults over 45kg, take one Chloroquine tablet per week and one Proguanil tablet daily, starting seven days before travel and continuing for four weeks after return.
